A Pilot Partnership Project between Bruce Castle Museum, Tottenham and Clio’s Company – Living History Theatre
Evaluation of the programme “A Common Treasury?” for secondary school pupils
This interactive programme focused on issues surrounding the end of the English Civil War. Clio’s Company researched, wrote and staged this site specific project. Evaluation was done to improve this type of project in the future. It highlighted the need for purpose designed sessions for secondary school students, who respond well to a different and stimulating environment. It is critical that teachers are supported appropriately so that students are prepared properly before their visit. Follow-up work, which increases the opportunity for discussion of the issues and thus overall learning is desirable.

Evaluation of Potting the Past
An artist in residence programme at the Farnham and Haslemere Educational Museum
This project involved a local potter to work with schools in the museum and in the classroom. The museum session focused on studying the pots in the collections. The children then used their ideas and sketches from the museum to make their own pot, which was later displayed in a temporary exhibition.
